Does cotton candy make you think of all things summer, love, romance and whimsy? Us too! That’s why we are thrilled to share this engagement session featuring our friends at Sweet and Light MN!
Once you get to know me personally, you will quickly learn that I am obsessed with the color pink!
Pink is most definitely my signature color – and trust me, it was my signature color way before millennial pink was even a thing. So, when I can add the color pink into foods I eat, or the art I create, it’s always a big HECK YEAH for me!
In fact, Emma & Justin’s engagement session was the nearly perfect place to incorporate this dreamy color into my art. Here’s how.
When I asked Emma & Justin where they shared their first date together – they said they went to a town fair and ate all things fair food – yum; well, that got the ferris wheels in my mind a turnin’ so to speak – hehe. And then I remembered Emma also mentioned that she wanted a whimsical-type style of engagement session.
So, I sat and wondered how we could incorporate fair food into their session without actually going to a fair; and then, I immediately thought of my friends Jess & Cole, at Sweet and Light MN!
Not only do they make their organic, cotton-candy from scratch, but they also use all-natural, cane sugar with no artificial flavorings, AND use plant-based dyes.
And I mean come on, a hand-crafted, mobile cotton-candy cart at your engagement session? It doesn’t get much more whimsical or romantic than that!
So, I reached out to Sweet and Light MN to see if they wouldn’t mind a mini collaboration with me, and much to my delight – they said, YES!
So, here we are at Emma & Justin’s engagement session – embracing the most pink, whimsical, and delightful treat – cotton-candy!
Pretty sure we NAILED the whimsy concept!
And honestly, Emma & Justin could not be more sweet and fun to be around! These two knew from the moment they were at that town fair together, on their first date, that they had found their forever.
Congratulations, once again, Emma & Justin on your engagement!
