No matter how much we attempt to plan our lives out step by step or even day by day, life often throws some pretty staggering, yet uncontrollable curve balls in our path. Our circumstances may change and waiver, but how we react to those circumstances can be the real blessing in life. The true meaning behind the joy of life.
Kelsey & Joel’s experience in wedding planning has been nothing but metaphorically curvy, and unexpected. There wedding planning took a large U-turn when the pandemic completely uprooted their destination wedding plans.
But first, let’s talk a little about their hearts – Kelsey & Joel are honestly two of the kindest people you will ever meet. Kelsey is a labor and delivery nurse studying to be a Nurse Practitioner with a very quiet, calm & peaceful demeanor – dare I say, a perfect quality for a nurse! And Joel is a police officer in a rural town – he is caring and kind, with the dearest smile.
On the evening of Kelsey & Joel’s engagement session, one would never suspect they had to change ALL of their destination wedding plans due to the pandemic. Neither of them were seemingly bitter or even disgruntled about their situation. The best way I can describe their overall demeanor was peaceful. And it was so refreshing to encounter!
These two met online over two years ago, and have traveled around the United States & the world together; finding the simplest of joys in discovering new places and adventures together. Which is why they had decided to have a destination wedding in the Ozarks this summer. And then, the pandemic changed all of their wedding plans with one fell swoop!
Regardless of these changing circumstances, nothing can affect the joy they both feel when it comes to thinking about starting their life together as husband and wife. And on top of all that, they are welcoming a little baby into the world too!
Ahhh! It was truly heartwarming to package an engagement and maternity session into one. Is there anything more stunning than a glowing pregnant goddess – just LOOK at Kelsey! Just breathtaking!
I honestly had so much fun, wondering the park with them while we talked and got to know one another better!
In the future, Kelsey & Joel plan to travel, snuggle their new precious baby (and doggies too), hike, camp, kayak and take long walks together. These two possess more of what our world needs right now. Peacefulness, a sense of calm, understanding, and more sincere love & kindness.
Congratulations Kelsey & Joel!
I cannot wait to photograph your meaningful, beautiful, elopement ceremony in July!
